Containment is key!
To isolating potential problems (disease/contamination/soil & plant born issues). Though the primary function of A R SuperPots TM is moisture control and moisture harvest/delivery, it is worthwhile to note that containment of soils and plant specific root zones is also beneficial to overall growing system and plant health. Let us spend a moment and think of the soil born diseases and contamination issues that crop growers deal with on a regular basis. The A R SuperPots TM design will separate the plant foliage from the soil area by way of a thin plastimulch layer. This layer also serves to retain soil moisture and temperature in the most beneficial way for your plants. Designed with plant health and top crop production in mind this growing system will outproduce and outperform any known growing system currently on the market. Consider for a moment the ramification of a diseased plant in the midst of a row of hundreds of individual plants. A R SuperPots TM will greatly assist in isolation of this type of issue. The plant, of questionable health, may quickly and easily be plucked from the row via the contained/isolated root and soil zone within the confines of an individual A R SuperPots container. Disposal of the questionable plant/soil and it's possible contaminants is key to the overall health of your remaining crop. Containing soils, moisture, and nutrients and doing this in the most isolating and efficient way is what Harvest 2 Oasis growing systems, and A R SuperPots TM is all about! |
Moisture management, and passive air moisture harvest.
The container itself is the primary source of moisture management. With its specific composition the reservoirs for all of the harvested water both conserve and "manage" the delivery of the reserved moisture directly to the plant root zone on demand! The dynamic apertures that are key to the A R SuperPots TM design will open allowing reserved harvested water to flow to plant root zone when the plant root zone becomes drier. When the moisture balance between the soil (plant root zone) and the reservoir is achieved, the apertures will then close, effectively holding the remaining reserved water for future root zone demands. The passive air moisture harvest is not magic! If there is low air moisture to be harvested then the supplement irrigation aspect of the design will need to be utilized. The design of the base unit allows for standard 1/2" poly drip or irrigation tubing placement. The framework for attaching the optional lotus effect funnels is outlined as standard 1/2" common PVC water line. The two may be interconnected and utilized for further temperature controls. This will enhance the ability to harvest passive air moisture by way of cooling the surfaces of the funnel/unit to a temperature that is at or below the dew point temperature. This causes air moisture to condense, collect, and drain from these surfaces. (Details of the numerous, and most efficient ways that this can be accomplished will be provided with your A R SuperPots TM kit). |
